Position: Graduate (MS) Teaching Assistant in Environmental and Sustainability Sciences (Urban & Community Forestry Focus)

Salary: Up to $16,500 per year + full tuition + up to $3,000 summer research support

Description:
“The Department of Environmental and Sustainability Sciences at TCU offers MS-level graduate assistantships for students interested in urban and community forestry, beginning Fall 2026. Possible research topics include: 1. Effectiveness of urban tree-planting programs after disaster events, 2. Impacts of urban forest loss on ecosystem services, 3.Contributions of trees to human thermal comfort in walkable communities.”
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree with minimum 3.0 GPA
-Appropriate academic background (environmental science, biology, geology, engineering, social sciences, or equivalent
-GRE not required (optional for holistic review)
-No prior experience required
