In this activity they collected a total of 347 pounds of garbage with the participation of 79 volunteers. All students present received green contact hours for the Puerto Rico Department of Education program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CO, in its networks, thanked all the participants and the community for this initiative: \u201cYour participation, energy and interest fills us with great joy. This is because, he explained, the birds usually \u201chide in their nests because of the presence of people and the heat\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-wp-embed is-provider-flourish wp-block-embed-flourish\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" title=\"Interactive or visual content\" src=\"https:\/\/flo.uri.sh\/visualisation\/20473561\/embed#?secret=SHHXtHWRym\" data-secret=\"SHHXtHWRym\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" height=\"575\" width=\"680\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The census tour lasted about 40 minutes. Twelve native birds were identified, indicating that they can be found in many parts of the world. (Comparados con los otros conteos realizados en Cabo Rojo), realmente (los resultados) eran lo que se esperaba m\u00e1s o menos\u201d, coment\u00f3 la Bi\u00f3loga y Coordinadora de la organizaci\u00f3n sin fines de lucro, Roots and Shoots PR, Carla Montalvo Mart\u00ednez.&nbsp; Montalvo estim\u00f3 que solamente pudieron identificar doce especies de aves en el \u00e1rea debido a la hora en la cual hicieron el censo, que fue un poco despu\u00e9s del mediod\u00eda. Esto es debido a que, seg\u00fan explic\u00f3, las aves usualmente \u201cse esconden en sus nidos por la presencia de las personas y por el calor\u201d.&nbsp; El recorrido del censo dur\u00f3 alrededor de 40 minutos. En este se identificaron a 12 aves nativas, indicando que pueden ser encontradas por muchas partes en el mundo.
