This confirmation was made during the volunteer event that took place on the morning of last Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the Semila farm. After the event was successfully completed, the founder of Conservation Opportunity, Fabiola Torres Toledo, and the owner of the Semila farm, Decenia Vega Rodríguez, decided to make these collaborations a monthly activity. ‘During the activity that took place last Saturday, we were mainly preparing the cocoa crop,’ stated Vega Rodríguez. She also indicated that in the future volunteers will have the opportunity to take part in the process of planting cocoa on the farm. She also mentioned the effectiveness of having numerous volunteers working alongside her, for example in the process of transplanting seedlings in the nurseries. When asked about why the Semila farm decided to collaborate with Conservation Opportunity, she explained that: ’Conservation Opportunity is a vital piece for us. It helps us reach more people, as there are many people who have little knowledge about the cocoa industry.’ Vega is ‘extremely grateful’ for the help provided by Conservation Opportunity, as this ”empowers‘ the principles of the Semila Farm. She indicates that ’planting a seed in every person‘ was also one of the main reasons why she wanted to establish this ’unique‘ agricultural project in Puerto Rico. Through this collaboration, Finca Semila encourages its audience to join their projects because they always have a need for volunteers in the field work. Finally, Torres Toledo reported that the next activity that will be carried out alongside Finca Semila will be announced. According to the results of the past event, it is expected that even more volunteers can join to participate in the following projects.

"onePageScrollNavigationBorderRadiusActive":[
"onePageScrollNavigationTooltipBgColorHover":"
],"onePageScrollNavigationTooltipPaddingHover":[],"onePageScrollNavigationTooltipBorderRadius":[],"onePageScrollNavigationTooltipBorderRadiusHover":[
[138

post-2698","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-noticias
["GET
