Salary: $16.50 per hour

Description: “The Conservation Technician provides support in the development, planning, contracting, and implementation of land conservation practices and programs in accordance with NRCS policies and procedures at the field office. Assists in the collection and organization of preliminary data on resource concerns for the development of basic agricultural conservation plans. Explains Farm Bill programs, cost-share options, and payment procedures to applicants and participants. Follows up on the implementation of soil conservation practices according to established plans and contracts, and uses current technology to document and manage conservation plans and technical assistance, with or without supervision.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in soil conservation or a discipline related to agriculture or natural resources (agronomy, soil science, forestry, agricultural education or agricultural engineering).
- At least one (1) year of specialized experience in a related field.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish).
