Both positions offer opportunities to conduct innovative, interdisciplinary research in freshwater ecosystems while gaining experience in fieldwork, laboratory analysis, & data science.

Position 1: Aquatic Ecology & Water Quality
This position will focus on interactions between nutrient stoichiometry & primary productivity of lakes. The student will engage in field & laboratory studies examining nutrient dynamics, water quality, & biological responses to environmental change.

Position 2: Limnological Research Using Autonomous Underwater Vehicles & Discipline-Based Education Research
This unique position combines limnological research using autonomous underwater vehicles with discipline-based education research. The student will investigate the use of AUV smart deployments to study lake dynamics & water quality, while also contributing to assessment of a project-based training program for smart deployment of AUVs.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in biology, environmental science, chemistry, engineering, or a related discipline.
-Experience with aquatic field or laboratory research (preferred).
-For the AUV/education position, interest in environmental technology or STEM education research is advantageous.
