The School of Agroecology - El Josco Bravo opens the call for Agroecological Work Internships (paid) aimed at Agroecological Producers and Promoters interested in strengthening and deepening their knowledge in the daily operation of an agroecological farm in the tropical Caribbean context of Puerto Rico. This opportunity is aimed at people who have successfully graduated from the School of Agroecology and who have already initiated (minimum 1 year) an agricultural project with an agroecological perspective.
Requirements:
-To have satisfactorily completed all the requirements of the Agroecological Producers and Promoters Course (Attendance, 50 hours of practice, National Brigades, Final Exam).
-To have initiated and maintained an active agricultural project.
-Completion of twenty (20) weeks of internships, 15 hours per week.
-To be aligned with the objectives, goals, mission and vision of the participating farms and their facilitators.
-Abide by the rules of behavior of the farm.
-The applicant must have a high physical capacity.
-Being able to work in high temperatures under the sun.
-Being able to lift at least 40 pounds.
-Satisfactorily complete the interview.
-You will submit weekly reports on the work performed.
