Donation Requirements under Acts 22 and 60
To meet the requirements of the Act 22 program, currently integrated under Act 60 - Resident Individual Investors, in addition to establish bona fide residence In Puerto Rico, participants must make an annual donation to a charity or nonprofit entity in Puerto Rico certified under Section 1101.01(a)(2). A Conservation Opportunity requirement meets.
Under the old Act 22, the required contribution was $5,000. With the implementation of Act 60, this amount increased $10,000 annually. Act 60 investors must donate about $5,000 to a nonprofit organization on the annual list published by the Joint Legislative Task Force on Community Impact Legislative Funding (CECFL), which identifies the entities approved to receive these contributions.
