Scouts Trash the Trash Day!

Location: Los Cabros Beach, Hatillo, Puerto Rico

This May 7, 2022, CO has teamed up with a group from the Boy Scouts of America to coordinate a
event that will be part of the “Scouts Trash the Trash Day” initiatives at Los Cabros beach on
Hatillo, PR. “Scouts Trash the Trash Day” is an international project of Mensajeros de la Paz for
Scouts from all over the world, where each Scout is challenged to bring a friend or family member and pick up the Scout.
at least one kilogram (2.2 pounds) of trash each on the first Saturday in May.

Los Cabros Beach is frequently visited by people who enjoy this beach by means of
swimming and sports such as Stand Up Paddle and surfing. Unfortunately, the beach is full of
garbage and much of it comes from the green areas near the abandoned school. The objective of the
event is to involve young people to clean up the area, avoid the deterioration of our natural resources by the
garbage and educate.
